Suarez, Oldham and more on Fernando Torres (And David Villa).

In the most important news, and probably the most depressing news, Suarez is officially in the hands of the FA (which is undoubtedly a bad thing) for his alleged racist comments to Patrice Evra against Manchester United what seemed ages ago.

The Guardian reports,
“Luis Suarez’s disciplinary hearing for allegedly racially abusing Patrice Evra has begun in secrecy, the Guardian can reveal.

The case is expected to last two days, with Suárez and Evra both giving evidence to determine the chain of events that has led to the Liverpool striker facing a long ban if he is found guilty.”

There is no way of knowing which way this will go. It’s hard to tell with the inconsistencies in the FA. Hopefully Daglish’s cries for help, and the lack of video evidence. As of what we know, there is no video evidence and it’s Evra’s word vs. Suarez word, which should favor Suarez. We will hopefully know by Friday what the decision is by the FA. If Suarez is found guilty, then he could face a long ban and the hope’s of us reaching the top 4 is almost eliminated.

Onto what hopefully means good news, Liverpool will face Oldham in the FA Cup. Oldham is a League 1 outfit lying in 16th currently. Hopefully we don’t face another early exit like the Carling Cup next year. The date is still to be announced.

Onto transfer rumors again. Apparently people are taking the Fernando Torres rumor seriously. Looking over social networks, people seem to want him back, for real. After he pushed his self out of the club, and made the club a hefty amount of money, they want him back. I personally say the rumor needs to be thrown into the Coliseum to face the lions, but we all know that won’t happen. The nostalgia dealing with Torres will never leave, but Torres will never wear the Liverpool crest again.

David Villa is also being linked with a move away from Camp Nou. The 30 year old is apparently unsettled in Barcalona and looking for a move to either Anfield or Stamford Bridge. Again, I can’t see Daglish and FSG shelling out the required amount to bring a 30 year old Villa to Anfield, no matter how dire the situation is. The only reason I would see him coming is to cover for a banned Suarez. Hopefully that isn’t the case.
